The changing office working environment is ever changing. This makes office space design particular to the desired office culture. Flexibility is a key focus in the design of 21 century workplace environments.

Reception areas provide a variety purposes. Designed to be staffed or unstaffed these areas are used to receive potential clients, greet meeting attendees, host events, and present company culture, as well as serve as work space.

Lobbies are most important when clients, customers or visitors need landmarks or seating space. This is an ideal space to introduce a company's projects and/or mission. there are also opportunity to use this space as a marketing element.

There are many concepts for an office suite. Office suites may be "work from home" models. Many offices incorporate a "resimercial" design, combining the commercial space with a residential look and function.

The break space is now a combination space for working, meeting and brainstorming. Lighting, both natural and LED contribute strongly to a successful working/break combo space.

Conference room provide a space for a variety of functions. Client and staff meetings, presentations, gatherings, and training are some examples. It is a space that requires technical presentation equipment and lighting that can support the functions required.

Hospitality spaces, i.e. restaurants, hotel room, lobbies, entertainment venue, etc. need special considerations. Inviting public areas that promote the health, safety, and welfare of the occupant while promoting the goals of the brand are driving elements of design.

Dining and food service is another focus of projects. Creating an efficient, functional, safe, inviting and enjoyable experience are important focuses in cafe and food service design.
